Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Ping Life accesses, collects, uses, shares, protects, retains and deletes data. It is intended to support Apple App Store and Google Play privacy review, and to explain the app clearly to real users.

• Account data: Firebase UID, email, display name, profile photo URL, sign-in provider and authentication tokens needed to verify requests.
• Profile data: display name, phone number if provided, language, timezone, onboarding state, notification preference and check-in interval.
• Safety data: safe check-ins, missed check-ins, safety pings, emergency state, emergency note if entered, alert state, last check-in time and next check-in due time.
• Group data: groups, memberships, roles, invitations, join codes, join requests, member status and group event notifications.
• Location data: coordinates, accuracy and timestamp when you choose emergency location, follow-me or live map features.
• Device and notification data: install ID, platform, app version, locale, timezone, notification permission status, push enabled state, FCM/APNS token, token preview for admin diagnostics and last-seen time.
• Camera access: camera frames are used locally to scan group QR codes. Ping Life does not collect camera photos or videos for advertising.
• Purchase data: premium plan, entitlement, product ID, purchase source, expiration/renewal state and restore status if premium is enabled.
• Technical data: backend request logs, error logs, crash/performance diagnostics, IP-derived security signals and anti-abuse/rate-limit data.

• Provide safety check-ins, emergency state, trusted groups, group invites, pings, follow-me/live map and notification features.
• Show authorized group members relevant safety status and location only when a feature requires it.
• Register devices and deliver push/local notifications.
• Maintain app status, maintenance mode, support, abuse prevention, security, rate limiting and reliability.
• Provide premium access, restore purchases and manage subscription entitlement state where applicable.
• Debug crashes, diagnose backend/mobile issues and improve product quality.
• Respond to support, privacy and account deletion requests.

Ping Life does not sell personal data. Ping Life does not use location, camera or group data for third-party behavioral advertising.

Data may be shared with trusted service providers only as needed to operate the app, including Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase/Google Cloud, Apple Sign in, Google Sign-In, Apple App Store, Google Play, subscription entitlement services, OpenStreetMap map tiles, hosting/database providers and support/security tooling.

When you use group, ping, follow-me or emergency features, selected profile, status and location data may be visible to authorized group owners, admins or members according to the feature you choose.

Data may also be disclosed if required by law, to protect users, investigate abuse/security incidents, enforce terms or respond to lawful requests.

• Location permission is requested only when needed for emergency location, follow-me or live map features. You can deny or disable location access in device settings.
• Camera permission is requested for QR code scanning. You can deny or disable camera access in device settings.
• Notification permission is requested to send group, ping, reminder, emergency and app status notifications. You can disable notifications in device settings or app settings where available.
• If you deny a permission, the related feature may not work fully, but core account access may still be available unless the feature requires that permission.

Ping Life uses authenticated backend APIs, Firebase Authentication, server-side validation, rate limiting, database access controls and operational logs to protect data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but Ping Life is designed to limit access to data based on authentication and group permissions.

Do not share sensitive information in profile fields, group names or emergency notes unless necessary for your safety use case.

Ping Life keeps data only as long as reasonably needed to provide the app, maintain safety history, deliver notifications, support premium access, prevent abuse/fraud, secure the service, resolve disputes, comply with law or maintain backups.

You can request account deletion and associated data deletion in the app where available, or by emailing cff.support.app@gmail.com. Please use the email associated with your account or provide enough information to verify ownership.

After verification, Ping Life will delete or de-identify account data that is no longer needed. Some records may be retained for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud or abuse prevention, transaction records, legal obligations, backups or dispute resolution.

Ping Life is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in the user’s country. Children should use Ping Life only with consent and supervision from a parent or legal guardian where required by law.

Ping Life and its service providers may process and store data in countries or regions other than where you live. When this happens, data is handled according to this Policy and applicable law.

Ping Life may update this Privacy Policy when the app, backend, service providers, legal requirements or store requirements change. The effective date on this page shows when the current version applies.
