Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of Ping Life. By downloading, accessing or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use Ping Life. If you use Ping Life for an organization, family or group, you are responsible for making sure your use is lawful and that invited members understand how the app works.

Ping Life helps users manage safety check-ins, trusted groups, member status, notifications, safety pings, optional follow-me/live map location sharing and emergency-related status.

Ping Life is not an emergency service provider, medical provider, police service, rescue service, alarm company or guaranteed monitoring system. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, call local emergency services first.

• Some features require sign-in with Google, Apple or another supported Firebase Authentication provider.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of profile information you enter, including display name and phone number.
• You are responsible for securing your account, device and sign-in provider credentials.
• You must not attempt to access another user’s account, group or safety data without permission.
• Ping Life is not intended for unsupervised use by children under 13 or the minimum age required in your country.

When you create or join a group, certain profile and safety data may be visible to authorized group owners, admins or members. This can include name, phone number if provided, check-in status, last/next check-in timing, emergency state, safety ping status and location when you choose a location feature.

Only invite people you trust. Do not add, impersonate, monitor or pressure another person without their consent.

• Notifications are used for group events, pings, reminders, emergency status and app status updates. They can be disabled in device settings or app settings where available.
• Location is requested only for features that need it, such as emergency location, follow-me or map views. If you deny location, those location features may be limited.
• Camera is used to scan group QR codes. If you deny camera access, QR scanning will not work.
• The app may open external map or phone apps when you choose related actions.

Ping Life depends on devices, operating systems, battery settings, network providers, Firebase/Google Cloud, Apple and Google services, map tile providers and backend availability. Notifications, check-ins, maps, reminders and safety pings may be delayed, fail, or show stale information.

You should not rely only on Ping Life for urgent safety decisions. Always use local emergency contacts and official emergency services in real danger.

• Do not use Ping Life to harass, stalk, threaten, impersonate, deceive, exploit or harm anyone.
• Do not submit false emergency data, abusive group invitations, spam, unlawful content or misleading profile information.
• Do not reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape or attempt unauthorized access to Ping Life systems.
• Do not use the app in a way that violates another person’s privacy, safety, legal rights or applicable law.

Ping Life may offer premium subscriptions or in-app purchases. The purchase screen will show the product, price, billing period and available benefits before purchase.

Digital features and subscriptions in the iOS app are purchased through Apple in-app purchase. Digital features and subscriptions in the Android app are purchased through Google Play billing where available.

• Payment is charged by the applicable store after purchase confirmation.
• Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled according to Apple App Store or Google Play rules.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Restore purchase may be used to refresh premium access on a supported account.
• Refunds are handled by the store where the purchase was made unless applicable law requires otherwise.

You may request account deletion and associated data deletion in the app where available, or by contacting cff.support.app@gmail.com.

After a verified deletion request, Ping Life will delete or de-identify account data that is no longer needed. Some data may be retained for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud or abuse prevention, transaction records, backups, dispute resolution or legal obligations.

For iOS users, Ping Life uses Apple’s standard End User License Agreement unless App Store Connect states otherwise: Apple Standard EULA

Ping Life may update the app, backend, features, premium benefits or these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

We may suspend or restrict access if we believe an account is used for abuse, security risk, unlawful activity or violation of these Terms.
